We undertake to meet and interview all candidates before submission, thereby providing an initial screening service and eliminating inappropriate introductions. Whilst our aim is to partner with our clients in assisting with resourcing, we remain non-intrusive in our role and do not submit CVs unnecessarily nor send blanket emails and circulars without specific requirements.
There are a number of differences between an employment agency and a recruitment consultancy but the main distinction is the level of human interaction and intelligence used in selecting candidates. Recruitment database technology has moved forward to such an extent that the whole CV search process can be automated and keywords can be used to search for specific skills, experience, location and salary etc. However, in an economy that is awash with job boards and CV databases, such searches are liable to result in hundreds of CVs and without human intervention, too many of these are submitted inappropriately wasting the client’s time and offering little value in the service.
Mobilus vet all CVs starting with telephone screens followed by preliminary face to face interviews until a shortlist is ready for submission to the client. We consider it our responsibility to select only the most appropriate candidates and insist on meeting applicants before we feel able to compile a shortlist for our clients.
Due to the polarisation in Mobilus’ area of expertise and the continuous effort to stay abreast of the markets in which we specialise, Mobilus is able to identify the most successful candidates with the most sought after skills. In many instances, advertising and database searches will not yield the exact skills that are required and in such cases, Mobilus is able to target the correct resources without resorting to fitting square pegs into round holes.
