Android Developer

Our client is a fast-paced Fin-tech based in Ascot, London and San Francisco that’s grown over 100% in size within the last year.  Their mission is to make life simple and rewarding for all through supercharging the global loyalty industry with their unique technology Payment Linked Loyalty. They are building out a team of talented, ambitious and diverse professionals to take their product to a global audience and are currently seeking an Android Developer to join the team.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be a software developer with an extensive background in Android software development. Ideally our client is looking for a developer with a strong background in Java development for Android devices.

The Android Developer will be joining an expanding team and will be responsible for the development and maintenance of native Android applications and will participate in the entire development life cycle from initial concept stage right through to delivery and post launch support.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have skills and experience in the following:

  • Java for Android and SDK
  • SQLite DB experience
  • HTML, CSS JavaScript
  • JSON
  • Kotlin, Artifactory
  • Strong UI and UX skills
  • Knowledge of APIs and external data sources
  • Excellent unit testing/ QA skills
  • Use of Git version control with Source Tree or similar

In addition to the above skills, a track record of delivering successful consumer and/or business products, proven commercial software development experience and published examples of work will be an added bonus.

Salary: £40k - £60k (depending on experience) + benefits
